"A Barn For Sybil"
A very good friend of mine said she liked paintings of barns. So, this is named for her. Posted by Hello

"On the Way to Kanab"

This painting was done as part of a trip to Zion National Park, Mt. Carmel,Utah and surrounding areas. We saw this pond by the side of the road on our way to Kanab, so we stopped and I did a preliminary painting which I followed with this one in my studio.Posted by Hello

Mid-Valley Arts League 2005 Annual Show

In previous posts I said I was entering two paintings in the Mid-Valley show. Much to my surprise, I found out today that both had won Honorable Mention awards in the Landscape category. The paintings are shown in archives as "Sierra Vista" and "Monument Valley". I am encouraged by these awards since they are the first since I started painting watercolors about four years ago. Having just attended the awards ceremony, I can appreciate the long road ahead if I ever hope to paint like the top award recipients.

aquamedia

This is a test of my ability to publish to my blog and to include pictures of my art.

Last evening I exhibited 13 paintings in the Glendora "Art on the Avenue" event. No sales, but it was fun and a new experience. The next one is on June 10. Below is one of the paintings shown - Monument Valley. I intend to submit this to the Annual Mid-Valley Arts League show next week.
Below further is a painting I posted a few weeks ago as an experiment in setting up this blog.
